Google's Android has finally managed to triumph over Apple's iPhone by capturing 46 percent of the US market share.
Meanwhile, the iPhone's notoriously closed OS lost three percentage points as it dropped from 45 to 42 percent.
An AdMob study has concluded that Google's Android operating system (OS) poses a major threat to the iPhone's dominance.
Hoping to quash concerns that the Android platform has been getting pulled apart and lacking consistency, Google is reportedly going to bring the next major update to all Android devices. The move will hopefully add uniformity to the operating system that is now available on nearly 20 handsets.
