OhMiBod lets you control your partner’s vibrator with your smartphone

Sooner or later someone was bound to invent a sex toy that could be controlled with a smartphone and the folks at OhMiBod have done just that. The company is currently looking for crowdfunding support to add WiFi capabilities to their line of OhMiBod vibrators.

OhMiBod is a small company based in New Hampshire and they already sell a variety of vibrators. Back in 2006 they introduced the Club Vibe 2.OH, a compact wearable panty vibrator that comes with a remote and built-in microphone “which allows users to listen to, and more importantly ‘feel’, the corresponding vibration patterns of songs.”

It wasn’t long before they had the idea to add Bluetooth so users could adjust the vibrator’s patterns, intensity, etc. with their smartphone. The result of that idea was blueMotion, a device that is currently in production and scheduled to start shipping next month.

Now the company is looking to raise $20,000 on indiegogo.com (they’ve already raised over $31,000) so that they can add WiFi capabilities. That would enable couples to control each other’s blueMotion vibrators from anywhere in the world.

I’ll give you a moment to think about that…

According to the company’s indiegogo page:

Your Indiegogo contribution will help us add Wi-Fi capabilities to the app so you and your partner can keep the passion going, even when you are thousands of miles apart.

In addition to Wi-Fi capabilities, OhMiBod Remote App will also include the following unique features:

  • In-app sexting
  • Simple user interface utilizing Google Gaming services for person-to-person connections
  • Android and iOS compatibility

Additionally, we have secured the sub-license to the patent that allows any sex toy to be controlled via the Internet. US 6,368,268 [Method and device for interactive virtual control of sexual aids using digital computer networks.]

I can think of a dozen jokes about this product but perhaps it would be best if you come up with your own.
