Bulgarian scientist says he talks to aliens
The aliens are among us, and getting pally with a bunch of Bulgarian scientists.
Professor Lachezar Filipov of the Space Research Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, says his researchers are considering a series of questions put to them by the aliens.
Apparently the contact takes place when Filipov falls into a trance and receives telepathic images.
He said his team was analyzing 150 crop circles around the world to find the answers, believing that they contained information useful to humanity. " It is said that there is one that kicks off the end of the world in 2012, the dangers of global warming and the threat of asteroid impact," he told the Novinar Daily newspaper.
The aliens aren't hostile, apparently, although they are concerned about our moral values and don't approve of either artificial insemination or cosmetics.
"They are here right now, among us," Filipov told reporters. "They want to help us, but the problem is that we don't know what to ask of them once a contact is established."
But Filipov's colleagues at the Academy aren't quite so friendly, and there have been calls for his resignation.
