Adobe is calling for testers to sign up for the beta for Flash Player 10.1 and Adobe AIR 2.0 for Android.
While it won't say exactly when the program will start, the company said late last week that Flash 10.1 will be available for Android by the second half of the year.
However, it's now looking as if there will be a little more delay, possibly until the end of the year.
"We just started the private betas and we are really looking forward to getting these technologies into your hands as soon as possible," says Adobe platform evangelist Lee Brimelow.
There will be a bit of swotting to be done, says Brimelow. "There are going to be so many interesting things that you will be able to do on Android and there are also going to be many new skills that you will need to learn, especially if you are new to mobile design," he says. "One thing that will help you tremendously is to learn more about optimizing content for mobile devices."
