Cupertino (CA) - Apple has just posted a minor incremental firmware update for the first-generation iPhone, iPhone 3G and the iPod touch. Labeled as the "iPhone Software Update 2.2.1" and available in iTunes when you connect to sync your music or media player, the updated software brings "bug fixes and improvements."
More specifically, Apple said that 2.2.1 firmware improves general stability of mobile Safari browser and fixes issues where some images saved from Mail application do not display correctly in the Camera Roll. The 2.2.1 firmware weighs around 246MB and is labeled as build 5H11. It also comes with the modem firmware version 02.30.03. No further information was provided about the software.
