Armonk (NY) - IBM announced today that it has 145 million Lotus Notes licenses, up five million. These include "many industry leaders exchanging Microsoft licenses for Lotus collaboration software."
In the 15 months ending in Q3'2008, IBM acquired 12,000 new organizations who, for the first time, bought Notes/Domino licenses. More than half of the Fortune 100 companies now use Lotus Notes and Domino, according to IBM - including more than 80% of the largest banks. Move than 50% of America's largest 100 companies use Notes.
