Laptop owners going to the 2006 Winter Olympics will get speedy wireless from Samsung. The company has partnered up with Telecom Italia to offer WiBro which is the South Korean version of WiMax. WiBro is short for Wireless Broadband and customers will be able to get up to 30 megabits per second.
In South Korea, where high-speed Internet access is common, WiBro is already in use at many locations. Last month, Samsung even released a new mobile phone with WiBro capabilities.
