Buffalo Technology today announced two high-gain antennas, a four-port wireless to Ethernet adapter and two pocket-sized USB 2.0 hard drives.
The new antennas include the AirStation Detachable High Gain Omni Directional Antenna (black - WLE-AT-NDRHB / white -WLE-AT-NDRHW) and AirStation Detachable High Gain Directional Antenna (black- WLE-AT-DACB / white -WLE-AT-DACBW). Both feature an RP-TNC connector, come in black or white and are designed specifically to complement Buffalo's latest wireless routers and the just-announced Wireless Ethernet Converter. All are available now for $29 each, estimated street.
The AirStation Turbo G High Power Wireless Ethernet Converter with a 4-port switch (WLI-TX4-G54HP) can wirelessly connect up to four 10/100 Ethernet devices to any 802.11b/g access point or wireless router. Wireless security features include 128/64-bit WEP, WPA-PSK with TKIP and AES support and Buffalo's patent-pending AirStation One-Touch Secure System (AOSS) for push-button set-up of a secure wireless network The Converter is immediately available at an estimated street price of $79.
The MiniStation Shock Resistant Portable Hard Drive comes in 40 GByte and 80 GByte capacities and includes "Secure Lock Ware" software to lock the drive to protect data and prevent unauthorized data access. The high-speed 5400 rpm drive is Windows and Mac OS compatible, supports USB 2.0 and 1.1. It includes Buffalo's Auto-Installation technology to eliminate the need for installation CDs. The drives are also available now at estimated street prices of $149 for the 40 GByte (HD- PHS40U2/UC) and $199 for the 80 GByte (HD- PHS80U2/UC).
