Chicago dumps city-wide Wi-Fi plans

  • Chicago (IL) – Chicago city officials have scrapped their plans for city-wide Wi-Fi after they discovered that it would cost too much money and serve too few residents.  The officials believe residents wouldn’t have used the system because people already have numerous connectivity options like regular wireless hotspots, EVDO and DSL.
