Chicago (IL) - Online shopping giant accidentally revealed what appears to be HTC Dream details ahead of official T-Mobile launch press conference scheduled for 10:30 am EDT today. The description claims that G1 software will tightly integrate with Google services such as Gmail, YouTube, etc. The phone is also said to have "one-touch access" to the Google search engine.
"The T-Mobile G1 is the world’s first Android-powered mobile phone in an exclusive partnership with Google. The T-Mobile G1 combines full touch-screen functionality and a QWERTY keyboard with a mobile Web experience that includes the popular Google services that millions have enjoyed on the desktop, including Google Maps with StreetView, Gmail, YouTube and others."
The third-party application repository called Android Market is also confirmed in the Amazon description. The Google-hosted software store will enable developers to register and post their applications for the distribution without a lengthy review and approval process that is necessary for the Apple's AppStore.
Meanwhile, T-Mobile has released a website dedicated to the G1 launch, which, however, will offer no content until after the press event. "All site content and information about the T-Mobile G1 with Google will be available shortly after the press conference is complete," the carrier said.
