Samsung's UMPC runs Windows Vista

  • Irvine (CA) - Samsung announced today that its Q1P ultra mobile PC (UMPC) is its first UMPC to get Windows Vista certification.  

    The Q1P, which Samsung first debuted last year, features a 1.0 GHz Intel Pentium processor, a 60 GB hard drive, and 1 GB of memory.  The 7" touchscreen device

    Coming in at 1.7 pounds, it is roughly the same weight as other UMPCs.  It includes both Bluetooth and WiFi wireless connectivity.  It also has a feature known as AVS Now, which allows users to access multimedia content without opening up Windows.

    Pre-installed with Windows Vista, the Q1P retails for $1300.  It is available now from online and retail stores.
