BlueAnt Wireless, a maker of Bluetooth peripheral devices and accessories, unveiled today the BlueAnt V1 Headset. The company says this nearly $130 Bluetooth headset is the world's "first voice controlled headset." The BlueAnt V1 Headset makes use of the new Bluetooth version 2.1 + Enhanced Data Rate specification as well as voice control technology from Sensory.

This technology lets users "control their headset with voice commands rather than pressing multiple buttons or even looking at the phone." The voice control is embedded into the headset itself, offering such features as voice dial, pairing, volume and connection status. Other features of the V1 Headset include "voice isolation technology" for clearer conversations, dual microphones, USB firmware upgradeable, multiple charging options, a small form factor, support for up to eight Bluetooth devices and up to five hours of rechargeable talk time. It should be available now.
