Asus has revamped its Padfone lineup of smartphones which are designed to transform into 10 inch tablets with the assistance of a tablet dock.

The latest iteration of the Padfone features a new design, faster processor and microSD card to help make up for reduced storage space.

Additional key specs? A 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 5 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB to 32GB of storage, 13Mp rear camera, 2MP front-camera and Android (OS). The device is also loaded with a 2400mAh battery and a Super IPS display, along with support for WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G and 4G LTE.

Meanwhile, the tablet station features a 10.1 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel IPS display and 5,000mAh battery. As Liliputing's Brad Linder notes, the tablet station leverages the phone’s processor, storage, memory, cameras and other essential hardware, so is pretty much incapable of functioning as a standalone device.

Unfortunately, the Padfone Infinity is currently designed for use on European and Asian wireless networks, so won't likely be much use Stateside if you plan on using the phone  to make calls outside of those areas.
