This Android PC is also a pico projector

The EPICT EPP-100 may look like a standard pico projector as it stands ready to display an image onto a screen or wall.

However, the EPICT is actually an Android-powered PC that can be used to surf the web, watch videos, play games and run apps, with basically any wall acting as an impromptu display.

Key hardware specs include an Allwinner A20 ARM Cortex-A7 dual-core processor paired with Mali 400 MP2 graphics, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, microSD card slot (up to 32GB), USB 2.0 port, micro USB port, a headphone jack, WiFi and Bluetooth.

Unfortunately, as Liliputing’s Brad Linder notes, the 35 Lumen EPP-100 (800 x 480 pixels native res) isn’t a very good projector, nor a particularly powerful PC.

“It will work best in a dimly lit room, and may feel a bit sluggish at times thanks to the relatively low power processor and limited RAM,” Linder explained. “That said, there aren’t a lot of other devices like this on the market.”

So how much is the EPICT EPP-100? Well, PandaWill is currently taking pre-orders for $22, with the company slated to begin shipping the device at the end of August.
