Lenovo offers a ThinkPad with a twist



Lenovo has introduced Windows 8 convertible tablet aptly dubbed the Twist, which features a 12.5-inch display capable of swiveling all the way around and folding down into tablet mode.



The Twist is powered by either a Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD or a 7,200RPM hard drive (320GB-500GB).

Additional specs include a 350-nit Gorilla Glass-coated display with IPS technology, 7-hour battery life, a full-sized Ethernet jack, a memory card reader, two USB 3.0 ports, mini-HDMI output and a mini-DisplayPort. 



The 3.48 pounds Twist is also equipped with 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and optional mobile broadband. Pricing? Starting at $849 and launching on October 26th. 



In addition to the Twist, Lenovo also rolled out full specs and pricing for the Windows 8-powered Yoga 13, while announcing an 11-inch ARM-powered version of the hybrid tablet.

The Yoga 13 – which is priced at $1,099 – features a Core i5/Core i7 Ivy Bridge processor, up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage and measures 0.67 inches thick, weighing in at 3.4 pounds. 

Additional specs include a 1,600 x 900 IPS multi-touch display, a 720p front-facing camera for video conferencing, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, a media card reader, HDMI output and 7 hours of battery life.



The ARM iteration of Yoga (11) runs Windows RT, weighs 2.8 pounds and measures 0.61 inches. The 11.6-inch multi-touch panel is capable of rendering resolutions of 1,366 x 768. Additional specs? 2GB of RAM, up to 64GB of internal storage, a USB 2.0 port, media card reader and a $799 price tag.



And last, but certainly not least, Lenovo debuted its IdeaTab Lynx, a 11.6-inch Windows 8 tablet hybrid. The Lynx is equipped with a dual-core, Clovertrail-based Atom processor paired with 2GB of RAM and a 32/64GB SSD. 



Additional specs for the 1.4-pound tablet that measures 9.45mm thick include an 11.6-inch, IPS 400-nit screen, a front-facing 2-megapixel webcam, a micro-USB and micro-HDMI ports, along with a microSD slot for external storage.



The Lynx can also be slotted into a detachable keyboard dock that features two additional full-sized USB 2.0 ports, along with an integrated 6,800mAh battery – effectively doubling the tablet’s runtime from 8 hours to 16. 

Availability and pricing? December, at a price point of $600, with the optional keyboard dock selling for a cool $150.
