Are you unimpressed with Apple’s overly-hyped and rather restrictive FaceTime feature for the iPhone 4?
Well, why not give Fring a try?
Indeed, the latest version of the popular mobile app allows you to make two-way, cross platform video calls over Wi-Fi or 3G to a number of devices, including iPhone, Android and Symbian smartphones.
In addition, the updated Fring offers users a new, chronological "social stream" of all tweets, Facebook updates, chats and calls in a single interface with simple sorting capabilities.
Other features include:
"The demand for [two-way video calling] has been overwhelming as more people discover richer ways to use their mobile phones," explained Fring CEO Avi Shechter.
"We continue making free mobile video calls widely available, satisfying the market's want for more rich communications tools that these smart phones were designed to deliver."
It should be noted that Fring recently enabled free, two-way Internet video calling for Android and Symbian based devices.
