Taipei TAIWAN – By now you are probably sick of all the UMPC news, but FIC has put a spin on things by announcing a UMPC with detachable modules – one of which is a calculator. The Nanobook is designed in partnership with Via and sports a 7-inch screen and the Via 1.2 GHz C7-M processor.
The right side of the screen has a detachable module that can sport a GPS receiver, mobile phone or even a calculator. Unfortunately the module on the Nanobook we photographed couldn’t detach. “It’s just a sample,” company reps whispered to us.
The Nanobook should be available for $700 during the holiday 2007 season.
