YouCam Snap is pretty indispensable

There are some apps I use a lot – daily even. Some I use maybe a couple of times a week. Some I use relatively rarely, but when I do use them it is because they do a particular job that is very important at the time. YouCam Snap falls into the latter category.

YouCam Snap is one of those apps which turns photos into a PDF. It is published by CyberLink, the company that produces the likes of PowerDVD, PowerDirector and Director Suite.

You don't take photos from within the app itself. Instead you snap away as needed and then later go into the app where you can perform some basic editing before saving images as a PDF. Rather cleverly the app can remove the skewed effect you get when you don't take a photo head-on.

You can combine multiple images into a single PDF and apply some filters to help make them more legible. You can save to JPEG too. Be aware, though, that while this app is free, if you want to remove the watermark that pops up on PDFs you'll need to make an in-app purchase.
