It appears that Microsoft is preparing itself for tougher times, as the company’s CEO mentioned that he expects some effects on Microsoft. At a news conference held in Oslo, Norway, earlier today, the executive said that he thinks that “one has to anticipate that no company is immune to these issues” in the financial industry. Ballmer stated that these “financial issues are going to affect both business spending and consumer spending, and particularly ... spending by the financial services industry.” However, he also expressed optimism that Congress will agree on “some resolution” that will help “stabilize the situation” by the end of the week.
