How attached are you to reading the Bible? So much that you are willing to wear an earpiece known as the Ear Bible so you can hear the Word anywhere you go? That's the idea behind this new digital device from Lascelles.

The Ear Bible looks in someways like your typical Bluetooth headset. It is a self-contained digital audio player, however, pre-loaded with the New American Standard Bible (Updated Version). It has controls typical of a MP3 device, including play/pause and navigation, and a display screen lets you know what section of the Bible you are currently hearing.

Recharging of this device is handled by a USB cable and the device sports 1 GB of memory. While it is not capable of playing MP3 format music, it can play uncompressed .wav files. It also supports the open source Speex format for those who wish to compress and playback audio books on it.

Pricing for the Ear Bible is around $150. Availability should be by sometime in December.
