Taiwanese manufacturer Acer claims that in the next two quarters it will beat Dell and become the world's biggest PC manufacturer.
That's according to a report in the Wall Street Journal, quoting the president of the company, Gianfranco Lanci.
Lanci also told the newspaper that not only does he expect Acer to pip Dell, but he claimed that the company will also give HP a bloody nose in terms of notebooks, netbooks and smartphones.
He also struck an upbeat note on the PC market generally, saying that demand for PCs was increasing.
The report is here (subscription needed).
