Taipei (Taiwan) - Digital microphone specialist Akustica today announced what it calls the world's first high definition microphone for computers and mobile devices.
The single-chip, USB-powered AKU2103 digital microphone uses a wideband frequency and complies with the top audio performance requirement for VoIP (voice-over IP) applications.
The technology used in the chip also prevents interference with radio frequency and electromagnetic signals, says Akustica.
HD audio quality means surround sound seems fuller and it offers more sophisticated manipulation of right and left audio feeds. The new mic will be available this fall.
