Toshiba's subsidiary Toshiba Digital Media Network (Toshiba DMN) will begin shipments of its new 1.8" MKxx29GSG series HDDs to notebook makers and notebook peripheral distributors in December 2008, according to Toshiba DMN Taiwan. The MKxx29GSG series will be available in 120 GB, 160 GB and 250 GB capacities, each featuring 5400-rpm spindle speeds and maximum transfer rates of 707.9 Mb/s, Toshiba DMN Taiwan indicated.
