Qimonda begins volume production of Rambus XDR DRAM for the PS3

Qimonda AG has announced that it has started shipping XDR DRAM in volume for the Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) game console. Qimonda started to ship first samples of the 512Mb XDR DRAM in January 2008.
