PQI-TDK JV introduces 1.8" SSD

  • Following the establishment of a joint venture, dubbed CoreSolid Storage (CSS), in August 2007, Power Quotient International (PQI) and TDK announced the availability of their first 1.8" solid-state drive (SSD) that supports the micro serial ATA (SATA) interface and uses single-level cell (SLC) NAND flash. Built on SLC NAND flash chips, the new 1.8" SSD delivers a data read rate of 100 MB per second.
