Scheduled to be shipping later this month, Corsair will be offering two new Dominator 4 GB DDR2 kits (2 x 2GB) clocked at 1066 MHz (PC2-8500) and 1142 MHz (PC2-9136). Users who are running DDR3 platforms will also get an upgrade from the current 1800 MHz modules, which will be upgraded to 2 GHz this quarter.
“Corsair’s recent lab test results indicate that not only is 2GHz production memory going to be available, but there is plenty of room for further speed improvements,” said John Beekley, the firm’s vice president of applications.
