AMD has just released the November update of its Catalyst driver package. The new version does not deliver any features, but focuses on improvements for the games Bioshock, Call of Juarez, Doom 3, Fable, Hellgate, Lord of the Rings, PT Boats, World in Conflict, Rainbow Six Vegas, as well as Serious Sam: The Second Encounter Demo. AMD says that an issue in Roxio’s Creator Premier 9 that caused a burn process to fail at the encoding preview has been resolved. A previously released hotfix for Crysis is not part of this update.
The Linux version of the new driver introduces preview support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.6 and 5.1, Ubuntu 7.10, RedFlag 6.0 DT and OpenSUSE 10.3.
The new drivers can be downloaded from AMD’s support pages.
