Due to the approaching slow season, panel makers including Korea-based Samsung Electronics and LG. Philips, and Taiwan-based Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT), HannStar Display, Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) and AU Optronics (AUO) have already started to adjust their production capacity to fit market demand for December this year, according to sources at panel makers. Most makers will lower the proportion of monitor panels around 5-10%, according to the sources.
