Intel planning quad-core notebook CPUs for Q3 08

  • Intel is going to launch eleven 45 nm dual-core CPUs for notebooks in the first half of next year, and the company is also planning to launch quad-core versions in the third quarter, according to sources at motherboard makers. Intel will launch a 45nm quad-core notebook CPU codenamed Penryn QC comprised of two Penryn cores in a multi-chip package.
