Abit today said it is preparing to sahip the IX38-Max Tigerforce motherboard, which is based on Intel's X38 chipset and socket FSB1333 Core 2 Duo/Quad processors. The board integrates four DIMM slots for a total of 8 GB of DDR3 memory, six SATA slots and two external SATA interfaces. The board comes with Abit's AutoDrive overclocking tool, which lets users adjust certain overclocking features automatically.
The IX38-Max also comes with a cooling kit. The included CPU heatsink is built from a copper base and uses an additional fan as well as two separate heatpipes. There are also heatsinks for the southbridge, the DDR3 memory, as well as two graphics cards.
Pricing and availability have not been announced.
