Sparkle's 8600 GTS graphics card gets an extra 256 MB

If memory is what counts in your next graphics card, but you don't want to go all the way to a $400, 640 MB 8800 GTS graphics card, there is now another option offered by Sparkle. The company adds 256 MB of GDDR3 memory to the 8600 GTS reference design (256 MB standard) for a total buffer of 512 MB GDDR3.

Compared to the reference design, the 512 MB is slightly under clocked at 900 MHz (1000 MHz stock) and the core frequency of the card remains at 675 MHz.

Pricing has not been announced, but expect to pay a little more than what you would shell out for regular 8600 GTS cards, which currently retail from just under $200 to about $250.
