TSMC manufacturing eDRAM chips for Xbox 360

  • Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) said that it has begun producing a 10 MB graphics-memory subsystem for Microsoft's Xbox 360 game console. The 500 MHz eDRAM device is built using a 90 nm process, unchanged from the original 90 nm chips that have been providing by NEC since the launch of the console in November 2005.
