AMD rumored to ship UVD-disabled Radeon HD 2400 for emerging markets

  • There are rumors in the graphics card market that AMD released a UVD- (Unified Video Decoder-) disabled version of its Radeon HD 2400 chip for sale in emerging markets, according to market sources. AMD originally planned an official release of its Radeon HD 2400 graphics chip with version A13, but an UVD (Unified Video Decoder) error in that particular rendition was discovered, causing release of the chip to be delayed until June of this year.
