Intel to push new server platforms in Q2 08

  • Intel plans to shake up its server platforms in the second half of 2008, according to sources at server makers. Current non-x86 Itanium 2 servers are to be replaced by the new Boxboro MC platform, while high-end 1- and 2-way server platforms, Bensley and Garlow, will be replaced by the Tylersburg EP platform.
