  • Hynix Semiconductor is said will migrate NAND flash to 57nm production at its 8-inch fabs in the third quarter of 2007 in an effort to further reduce costs, especially when leading players like Samsung Electronics and Toshiba are both producing on either 50nm and 56nm. Sources at Hynix's downstream customers noted that Hynix, which has about an 18.5% share of the NAND flash market as estimated by iSuppli, plans to advance its 60nm NAND flash production to a 57nm generation.
