Renesas announces low-cost 45nm and below technology for transistors

  • Renesas Technology has announced the development of a high-performance transistor technology with low-cost fabrication capability for microprocessors and SoC (system-on-chip) devices of the 45nm generation and beyond. The new technology improves the performance of CMIS transistors with a Renesas-developed hybrid structure – an advanced technology that the company previously announced in December 2006.
