Game of Thrones Creator George RR Martin Doesn’t Want to Hear Your Complaining

No matter how great your work is, there’s always going to be people who will complain about it. So if you’ve got problems with Game of Thrones, George RR Martin doesn’t wanna hear it.

As The Wrap reports, Martin recently wrote a blog post where he complained about “wars, woes and work,” especially over the fan complaints over a controversial rape scene, and the death of one of the show’s main characters.

As Martin wrote in his blog, “It is not my intention to get involved in those, nor to allow them to take over my blog and website, so please stop emailing me about them, or posting off-topic comments here on my Not A Blog. Wage those battles on Westeros, or Tower of the Hand, or Boiled Leather, or Winter Is Coming, or Watchers on the Walls. Anyplace that isn’t here, actually.”

While one report has called Martin “the third most powerful writer in Hollywood,” he realizes that power doesn’t stop him from being pummeled by fan complaints. In the meantime, Martin is taking the smart route, working on his next book, The Winds of Winter, haters be damned.
