Apple Might Be Working on a Self-Driving Car

We’re still a ways away from the self driving car, which we feel will make a big boon to mankind, but now reports tell us Apple may be working on one as we speak.

According to a number of reports, including The Verge and The Wall Street Journal, there may indeed be an Apple car in the works, which may not see the light of day for years, but Reuters writes that the tech giant has been looking into making their own vehicle, which could drive itself.

As Reuters tells us, “Apple is gathering advice on parts and production methods, focusing on electric and connected car technologies, while studying the potential for automated driving.”

This would be Apple thinking ahead to the future, where automated cars could be commonplace. The company will not confirm or deny any of these reports, which they’ve dismissed as rumors, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Apple wants to be on the forefront of car evolution, much like they’ve always strove to be on the forefront of technology.

BTW, if this story is true, The Wall Street Journal tells us the project is under the working title of “Titan,” and it reportedly looks like a minivan.
