Another Promise of a Hoverboard

Yeah, yeah, we know everyone wants a hoverboard, and will not rest until there’s one on the market. Every so often there’s reports of a hoverboard, but one time it proved to be a joke on Funny or Die, then it showed somebody propelling themselves up in the air with water propulsion, much like a water skier.

So now here’s another report that the hoverboard may finally be here, or at least there’s a Kickstarter campaign to bring one to us some day. It’s called the Hendo, and it claims it can lift you up an inch off the ground.

Uproxx posted a story on this, and the Hendo people claim that with crowdfunding, “We need your help to put the finishing touches on the Hendo Hoverboard, to help us produce them, and to create places to ride them.” The line “create places to ride them” intrigues us too. Will there eventually be hoverboard parks? Will safety regulations have to be passed by the government before these are on sale at Toys R Us?

Watching the video on the Kickstarter page reminds us a bit of an episode of Shark Tank, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see this one on that show some time. We’re still not totally convinced this is 100% legit, but trust us, we’d be just as thrilled as anyone to see real hoverboards on the market.
