Lando Calrissian May Return to the Star Wars Universe One Day

It’s great that Yoda and Han Solo are being considered to have their own stand alone movies, but what about Lando Calrissian? Billy Dee Williams has of course openly volunteered to come back, and we’d love to have Lando back as well.

Recently, Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote Empire and also did work on the Force Awakens script, told Collider, “Right now, there’s no Lando Calrissian in this movie,” although we certainly have ethnic diversity with the brother running around in the stormtropper outfine. “But Lando I don’t think is finished in any way, shape, or form.”

And indeed, it would be nice to see Lando back. Maybe Billy Dee can do it as a cameo, or we’re sure a new young star will take over the Lando stud mantle. But it’s good to hear he may be back one way or another, and maybe he can make a cameo like Luke, Leia and Han will in The Force Awakens. (Star Wars could end up being like old timers day in baseball…)
