There Apparently Won't Be a Surprise at the End of The Avengers Age of Ultron

What’s always great fun about the Marvel movies is to stick around until the end to see what the next movie could be in the series. Back when Iron Man debuted, word started getting around in a hurry to go back and see it, and stick around until the very end, because it promised The Avengers.

Okay, so on Guardians of the Galaxy we had a goof at the end with Howard the Duck, (although I’m certainly one hoping for that reboot), and now comes word there won’t be a special surprise to show what’s to come at the end of the new Avengers film, Age of Ultron.

There’s certainly nothing wrong with going against tradition, and Joss Whedon told Uproxx and Entertainment Weekly, “It didn’t seem to lend itself in the same way, and we wanted to be true to what felt right. The first rule of making a sequel is take the best moments and do something else. Don’t do the Indiana Jones gun trick again differently. Just go somewhere else. Don’t try to hit the same highs, because people will sense it.”

We’re now less than a month away from Age of Ultron, and we’re definitely going to be watching very closely to see how it will compare to the first one. We think it’s got a good shot at being better than the first Avengers, and we know it’s going to make a ton of money regardless, but we’re indeed hoping this one’s really gonna knock it out of the park.

Avengers Age of Ultron opens on May 1, and the The Wrap also just repored that Joe and Anthony Russo, the directing team behind Captain America, will be helming the next Avengers flick, Infinity War, taking over from Whedon.
