Daredevil For the Blind

Daredevil is a blind superhero, and apparently he’s a big hero to people that are indeed visually impaired. Now there’s apparently a way that blind fans can enjoy the new series, which is going like gangbusters on Netflix.

According to Cinema Blend, there’s an “English – Audio Description” option for the show, and as Blend tells us, “The narrator kind of sounds like someone who would get a lot of superhero voiceover work, so it fits nicely.”

Apparently the audio description option really describes the show in great detail, everything from the weather to facial expressions, and while the fight scenes are “a little muddled,” Blend says, “This is still the service’s first attempt at it, it’s a great step forward.”

This option is available on the Netflix website, and with the company looking to take over the world, maybe they will be the leader in creating shows that can be enjoyed by the visually impaired. There are also plans to have this for other Netflix series like House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, as well as the upcoming Marco Polo.
