Over at the Nano Gigapan blogspot they aren't mapping the streets of London, San Francisco or the capital of the inhabited planets near Sirius.
Oh no. They're doing stuff that's much more interesting - for example stitching together 70 pictures at 1200X magnification of an eyebrow hair next to a dried blood sample.
The Nano Gigapan, attached to the knobs on the Hitachi Scanning Electron Microscope is such a cool idea. There is a very cool nano-gigapan of an ant's head and you wouldn't want to meet this lass if you were her size too.
