Sony’s new PSP is definitely a Go

  • Los Angeles (CA) - With a suggested retail price of $249 and an October 1 debut date, the PSP Go is a smaller, more mobile version of the PSP, geared toward those who – no surprise here – “lead a digital lifestyle”.

The device is equipped with 16 GB of flash memory for storing music, games and television shows that can be transferred via WiFi. The PSP Go has a 3.8” screen, making it 50% smaller than the original PSP-1000. The device comes equipped with Bluetooth support, a slide up screen and M2 memory stick support.

The new portable game console will be equipped with SenseMe, a new feature from Sony which analyzes an individual’s music library and delivers tastes which meet a user’s depicted mood.

Developers are encouraged to create and design application for the device. Sony said it has reduced the price of the developer tool kit by 80%.
