FearNet recently interviewed Uwe Boll, a controversial screenwriter, producer and director of movies that are based on computer games franchises. His movies included Alone in the Dark, BloodRayne, BloodRayne 2: Deliverance and In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, all of which tanked at the box office. Alone in the Dark, BloodRayne and BloodRayne 2 are part of the "Bottom 100" movies on IMDB, which is no small feat. An adaptation of “Postal” is scheduled for a May 23 release.
As part of the interview, Uwe Boll received a petition signed by 18.000 movie fans, asking him to stop making movies. Boll replied that 18.000 is not enough, but stated that he in fact would stop making movies, if there were 1 million signatures. At the time this writing this article, there were 111,700 signatures. At least theoretically, the petition needs another 818,000 signatures, but of course, there’s no guarantee that Boll would stop making sub-par movies.
According to Boll, titles that are currently in production include Far Cry, Tunnel Rats, Zombie Massacre and BloodRayne 3. If you don’t like his previous movies, here’s your chance to vote. Vote now, or remain silent for the rest of the days. But then again, his movies might not be all that bad?
