Southam (UK) - Thanks to Codemasters' upcoming Turning Point: Fall of Liberty game, which focuses on a near-death experience for Winston Churchill in 1931, new information was revealed on the man who hit the renowned prime minister.

On February 8, Codemasters announced a global search for information on Mario Contasino, a New York City cab driver in the 1930's who famously hit Winston Churchill when the future prime minister was negligent in crossing the street.

Online blog The Genealogue combed through old city records to find a more complete history of Contasino, including his date of birth and death.  It also uncovered the fact that Contasino enlisted in the US Army and served in World War II.

The back stories of Churchill and Contasino are crucial to Fall of Liberty, a WWII action game from Codemasters, which centers around that fateful taxi accident.

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty is scheduled for a February 26 release and is slated for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
