Columbus (OH) - Are you still looking for ways to get an ever-elusive Wii video game system? Maybe you should have tried to get on the football team at Ohio State or Louisiana State University.
All of the Buckeyes and Tigers playing in next month's national championship will receive a Wii, along with a basket of other BCS bowl goodies. In fact, the system seems to be a fairly common gift across other sporting competitions.
Given the Wii's highly reported production shortage, "it was not easy" to secure enough consoles for the players, said Mark Neville, a spokesperson for the Holiday Bowl in San Diego, which will also hand out Wiis in their gift package.
