San Francisco (CA) – Gamespot employees and editors are contemplating resigning en masse, according to a new article by Kotaku. Kotaku quotes an unnamed source within Gamespot and says that employees are “emotionally deflated” and confused. The source also says that problems need to be fixed quickly or else there will be “mass resignations”.
Jeff Gerstmann, the former editorial director of GameSpot, was terminated from his position recently for what some say was a poor review of Eidos’ new game Kane & Lynch. Gerstmann’s supporters say the termination was more because of philosophical differences between the former editor and the VP of games at GameSpot Josh Larson.
