EMI to debut iTunes John Lennon video album at Starbucks
Starbucks will be offering a digital music release card unlocking 21 John Lennon music videos on iTunes beginning December 4.Hollywood (CA) – Starbucks will be offering a digital music release card unlocking 21 John Lennon music videos on iTunes beginning December 4.
Publisher Capitol/EMI Music Videos said that the 21 videos are priced as a bundle at $24.95 and will allow buyers to see videos that are available in a digital format for the first time.
The “collectible” cards of the "John Lennon Video Album" can be redeemed on iTunes for videos of the titles , Imagine (Legend version), Woman, Watching the Wheels, Mind Games, Happy Xmas (War is Over), Whatever Gets You Thru the Night, (Just Like) Starting Over, #9 Dream, Give Peace a Chance, Beautiful Boy, Jealous Guy, Nobody told me, Cold Turkey, Power to the People, Working Class Hero, Working Class Hero (Anthology version), Love, Mother, Borrowed Time, Slippin' and Slidin' and Stand By Me.
Current iTunes Digital Release card titles available at Starbucks include KT Tunstall's "Drastic Fantastic" and Eddie Vedder's "Into The Wild" soundtrack.
Beatles music tracks as well as solo tracks of the artists have just recently been added to the iTunes store, due to a legal dispute between Apple and the Beatles’ Apple Corps music publishing firm (controlled by Paul McCartney Ringo Starr and the widows of George Harrison and John Lennon) that was resolved in May of 2006. Paul McCartney’s first songs became available on iTunes in May of this year, John Lennon solo tracks followed in August of this year.
John Lennon’s music tracks were first published digitally in November of 2005 on Rhapsody, Napster, MSN and Yahoo! Unlimited.
