Sony’s Playstation 3 today received a new volume game title, which the platform so desperately needs for the Christmas season. Electronic Arts (EA) has released Medal of Honor Airborne, the latest edition in a series that has sold about 31 million units to date.
The game puts PS3 gamers into the suit of a member of the 82nd Airborne Division to become part of one of the largest Allied Airborne Operations of WWII. EA said that the game provides an “innovative approach to first-person shooter gaming” by starting every level with the player’s ability to airdrop into combat from a C-47 airplane and choose where to land on the battlefield. The choice of the landing spot then determines the course of the battle.
As every new PS3 game, Medal of Honor Airborne carries a suggested retail price of $60.
